About The Position

Under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the incumbent will provide support for a fast-paced, growing hotel and casino team. They will partner with Seminole Hard Rock Support Services and Hard Rock’s benefits partners to manage the administration of the human resources benefits, retirement program, policies, procedures, and programs.

Requirements

Benefits or insurance experience required, 2-5 years prior benefits analytics and support experience preferred.
Strong computer and internet skills required, excellent Microsoft Office (EXCEL); experience with HRIS technology platforms (Infinium preferred).
Exceptional organizational skills, strong communication skills, team player; ability to implement action plans and multi-task on a daily basis.
Reporting Skills, Analyzing Information, Presentation Skills, Verbal Communication, Benefits Administration, Quality Management, Confidentiality, Developing Standards, Retaining Employees, Orienting Employees.
Working knowledge of Family Medical Leave (FML), Department of Labor Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and other Human Resources regulations.
Must obtain and maintain valid licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
Must successfully pass background check.
Must successfully pass drug screening.
Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
Strong analytical skills with accounting or bookkeeping background. Ability to cross reference multiple systems and tables.
Strong problem solving and attention to detail required.
Ability to handle high volume of reports and numbers.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to speak in front of groups.
Must be experienced and sensitive to working with diverse groups of people.
Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe and other Human Resource software systems.
Independently initiating, following up on, and completing assignments, as well as special projects.
Strong understanding of the gaming industry and the Hard Rock brand.
Sound interpersonal judgment and decision-making skills in directing administrative tasks, using discretion when necessary, understanding the potential impact on the department.
Ability to maintain and ensure confidentiality of information.
Ability to occasionally work nights, weekends, holidays and outside of regular work schedule is required.
Ability to communicate effectively with external contacts and all levels of team members

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Management preferred.
Casino and/or hotel experience is strongly preferred.
Prior experience in the Gaming industry strongly preferred.
Prior experience in Tribal Gaming preferred.

Responsibilities

Administers and monitors benefit eligibility for benefits programs, including health (medical/ dental/ vision), life, disability, and ancillary benefits.
Design, evaluate and modify benefits processes to ensure that programs are current, communicated and in compliance with guidelines.
Evaluates services, coverage, and options available through benefits programs offered. Provides feedback and data as needed.
Determines benefits communications, meetings and practices that best meet the needs of our diverse employee group and the overall goals of the organization.
Monitors the effectiveness of benefits programs on an ongoing basis and ensures compliance with statutory requirements.
Coordinates and manages annual enrollment periods.
Supervises monthly billing process and reconciliation and resolves any disputes or differences with insurance company and accounts payable.
Ensures all enrolled team members meet all eligibility requirements. Processes enrollments, changes and terminations of benefit coverages as needed to maintain group eligibility.
Ensure prompt and discreet notification to appropriate management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.
Responsible for scheduling and conducting employee benefit orientations; informs new employees of benefit programs, policies, and related enrollment deadlines.
Required to research and resolve premium variances due to premium election changes, rate changes or terminations.
Required to perform daily, weekly and monthly audits and reporting of premiums to ensure timely updates of system information.
Promotes benefits, health and wellness in the workplace; develops/sources education and resource materials (bulletin boards, newsletters), and facilitates educational opportunities to achieve and maintain a healthy workforce (health fairs), increase benefit knowledge and utilization (benefit fairs), and decrease benefit costs.
Acts as liaison between Human Resources department and Payroll department in regard to payroll deductions.
Provides technical support and guidance to employees, supervisors, and managers in evaluating reasonable accommodation, return to work, and protected leave requests.
Maintain strict confidentiality in all duties and responsibilities.
Be a subject matter expert for the online benefits portal systems and suggest improvements to its features and processes.
Be a team leader in ensuring we respond in a timely and courteous manner to both internal and external clients.
Perform all required data entry on Company’s HRIS system.
Assist manager in coordinating the efforts of the human resources team.
Ensures system accuracy through regular coverage audits. Audits team member worked hours on a quarterly basis to ensure eligibility and compliance. Notifies department management of potential risks.
Use data and metrics (e.g., number of leaves, types of leaves, cost impact, etc.) to identify trends across employee populations and provide insights to others within HR on a regular basis. Lead efforts to address areas of opportunity.
Maintain knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements impacting Benefit Administration.
Oversees Drug Free Workplace Program, coordinates quarterly random drug and nicotine screenings.
Assists in the coordination of recordkeeping systems and prepares and audits all Leaves of Absences, insurance, 401(k) and any other pertinent benefit reports ensuring that accurate and timely information is provided to payroll and management.
Works closely with property Leadership, brokers and benefit vendors in the administration of benefit programs, health care claims, short and long term disability payments, including 401(k) to control costs and ensure effectiveness according to established goals.
Plans, organizes and executes all team member wellness programs including collaboration with a third-party wellness administrator.
Cleans and sanitizes work and public spaces.
