The Supervisor, Benefits and Authorization - Specialty Operations directly oversees the day-to-day operations of the Patient Benefit Verification and/or Authorization team members. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 1 year of medical insurance authorization supervisory experience, OR 3-5 years of medical insurance authorization experience with demonstrated progression.
  • Ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities at one time.
  • Ability to work in a fast past environment.
  • High degree of self-discipline in maintaining productivity expectations.
  • Must be detail-oriented and have a high degree of quality focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one (1) year customer service preferred.
  • Home infusion experience on the provider or payer side preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors daily productivity performance including team member coaching and addresses corrections where needed
  • Interviews, hires, and trains employees.
  • Directs work, appraises performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Go-to for troubleshooting issues and resolutions with CMC Patient Registration team members.
  • Maintains updated knowledge of industry, regulatory and reimbursement issues and of payer requirements.
  • Keeps AVA team abreast of key changes.
  • Assists with roll out of new policies and procedures.
