About The Position

The Supervisor, Behavioral Health provides frontline leadership and day-to-day supervision for staff within assigned behavioral health programs at Memorial Health. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that daily operations, service delivery, and documentation practices align with established clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. The Supervisor serves as the primary point of support and accountability for staff, reinforcing clinical expectations, supporting professional development, and addressing immediate operational and practice-related issues. Working under the direction of the Manager and in alignment with Clinical Director guidance, the Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining consistent, high-quality services and supporting smooth daily operations across the behavioral health continuum.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Licensure as a LCPC, LCSW, or equivalent is required and must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • Experience providing direct services in behavioral health and/or social services
  • Experience working in regulated service environments (e.g., CMHC, Medicaid-funded services, accreditation standards)
  • Understanding of behavioral health and/or social service services delivery and workflows
  • Ability to reinforce clinical, documentation, and regulatory standards in daily practice
  • Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage day-to-day operations and competing priorities
  • Attention to quality, safety, and compliance
  • Ability to identify issues and escalate appropriately
  • Team-oriented approach and ability to support staff engagement

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in a behavioral health, social services, or related field preferred
  • CADC certification preferred.
  • Prior experience in a lead, charge, or supervisory role preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, day-to-day supervision of frontline staff within assigned programs
  • Manage daily workflows, schedules, coverage, and assignments to ensure service continuity
  • Address immediate operational issues impacting staff or service delivery
  • Escalate complex operational or staffing concerns to the Manager as appropriate
  • Support onboarding, orientation, and training of new colleagues
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and guidance to colleagues regarding performance and expectations
  • Reinforce accountability related to attendance, productivity, professionalism, and conduct
  • Identify performance concerns and collaborate with the Manager on corrective action or development plans
  • Reinforce adherence to established clinical standards, policies, and procedures
  • Support implementation of supervision frameworks and clinical expectations established by Clinical Directors
  • Serve as a resource to colleague on routine clinical, documentation, and practice-related questions
  • Identify and escalate complex clinical concerns, ethical issues, or scope-of-practice questions
  • Monitor day-to-day compliance with documentation, service delivery, and practice standards
  • Identify and report risks, incidents, or safety concerns in accordance with policy
  • Participate in audits, reviews, and quality improvement activities as requested
  • Support implementation of corrective actions and quality improvement initiatives at the team level
  • Support coordination of care and effective communication within and across teams
  • Reinforce effective handoffs and transitions between programs or levels of service
  • Ensure colleagues understand their role within the broader behavioral health continuum
  • Promote trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and culturally responsive practices in daily work
