This position will be responsible for completion of the following items in addition to those listed in the Job Description. The role involves assisting the teacher in the implementation, preparation, and organization of the Title I or LAP program and materials. The paraeducator will also assist with record keeping tasks, screening of eligible students, and administering diagnostic materials as prescribed and directed by the teacher. Daily work with students in accordance with scheduled times, facilitating and completing learning experiences, and recording student progress on daily task sheets are key components of this role. The position requires utilization of district software programs, including Skyward, Word, Excel, and SMI, and maintaining appropriate student and other records as directed. Additionally, the paraeducator must take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
