The Supervising Video Producer is an experienced creative leader responsible for overseeing and producing original video content across KQED’s Digital Video portfolio. This role will lead the development and production of midform YouTube content, vertical video series, and television broadcast programs supporting KQED’s Food, Guides, and Technology editorial verticals. Working closely with the Manager, Video Content Development, the Supervising Video Producer will help develop new series, establish consistent and repeatable production practices, and execute KQED’s digital video strategy across owned and operated platforms and third-party distribution channels. This position will lead projects from initial concept through final delivery, providing editorial leadership, production oversight, and creative guidance while managing workflows, resources, schedules, and production teams. The ideal candidate is an accomplished storyteller with extensive experience producing digital video and broadcast content. They possess strong editorial judgment, a deep understanding of audience-focused storytelling, and the ability to lead creative teams in developing compelling video content that serves KQED audiences across multiple platforms. This role requires extensive knowledge of the full production process, including development, scripting, field production, post-production, distribution, and audience engagement. The Supervising Video Producer will collaborate with Digital Video leadership, Audience Engagement, TV Programming, Video Production and Distribution, Legal, Finance, Marketing, Development, and other internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality productions that meet editorial goals, organizational priorities, contractual requirements, and public media standards.
