About The Position

ICAN Children’s Therapy is seeking a Supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to lead and develop their team of SLPAs (Speech-Language Pathology Assistants). This is a key leadership role focused on clinical excellence and team growth, rather than maintaining a regular patient caseload. The position involves supervising SLPAs, overseeing assessments and progress reports, conducting parent trainings, performing initial evaluations, collaborating with other therapists and administrative leaders, mentoring the team, maintaining accurate clinical records, and assisting with operational and quality improvement efforts. ICAN Children’s Therapy is a therapist-owned, multidisciplinary pediatric clinic serving children from birth to 18 years with two locations in Bellevue, WA, emphasizing collaboration, purposeful play, and excellent care.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (from an accredited institution)
  • Active Washington State SLP License
  • ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Minimum 2 years of pediatric experience
  • Experience supervising SLPAs or Clinical Fellows
  • Proven skills in communication, documentation, mentorship, and organization

Responsibilities

  • Deliver both direct and indirect supervision to SLPAs, ensuring compliance with ASHA and Washington State regulations.
  • Oversee assessments, re-evaluations, and write progress reports for the SLPA caseload.
  • Conduct regular parent trainings and support sessions to foster family involvement and progress.
  • Perform initial evaluations; cover sessions as needed and provide makeup visit availability.
  • Partner closely with occupational/physical therapists and administrative leaders for wrap-around, multidisciplinary care.
  • Model ICAN’s values in all facets of supervision, fostering a positive, growth-oriented, and team-centric environment.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical records.
  • Assist in operational and quality improvement efforts.
