The Supervising Occupational Health Nurse is an integral member of the site EHS Team whose primary responsibility is to manage the site Occupational Health staff and associated programs. In addition the position will provide subject matter expertise and advanced leadership for successful development, implementation and maintenance of a high performing Occupational Health system for the assigned sites. The Supervising Occupational Health Nurse is responsible for Occupational Health and Medical monitoring program; work related injury treatment and occupational return to work case management. Occupation Health nursing is the specialty practice that provides for and delivers health and medical services to employees and distinct service groups within the company (EHS Professionals, HR Professionals, Managers, general public, etc…). The focus of this position is on the treatment of work related illness and injury, and protection from occupational hazards. This position will make independent nursing judgments for the purpose of effectively managing workplace injuries, maintaining medical records, providing appropriate medical emergency response leadership, interfacing with Workers Compensation administrators and partnering with EHS functions (corporate and site) to promote reduction of EHS risk for employees.
