The Children and Family Law and Youth Advocacy Divisions of the Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS), Massachusetts' public defender agency, are seeking a full-time Supervising Investigator. This new position will be based in any CAFL or YAD office with available space and will focus on developing a robust Investigator program across the Commonwealth. The Supervising Investigator will be responsible for assisting in the hiring, training, and supervision of staff Investigators, while also managing a reduced personal caseload. Investigators are integral to the defense team, supporting indigent clients by interviewing witnesses, investigating allegations from the Department of Children and Families and District Attorney’s Offices, and documenting crime scenes. CPCS is dedicated to equal justice and human dignity, advocating for clients' legal and life goals, and promoting just public policy.
