About The Position

The Clinic-Based Supervising Clinician is responsible for providing onsite clinical and administrative supervision to clinicians, interns, and other assigned staff across outpatient clinic locations in Yonkers and Peekskill. This role promotes a trauma-responsive, culturally congruent approach to care while ensuring high-quality clinical services, regulatory compliance, and staff development. The Supervising Clinician also maintains a limited caseload, conducts screenings, evaluations, and treatment services for assigned clients, and is expected to meet a productivity commitment of at least 10 billable hours per week. This position participates in a rotating on-call coverage schedule and serves as a key clinical leader supporting day-to-day clinic operations.

Requirements

  • Licensed in New York State as one of the following: LCSW, Ph.D., Psy.D., or equivalent clinical license required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of clinical experience required.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families required.
  • Strong knowledge of multiple treatment modalities and evidence-based interventions.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record systems and general computer applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across two clinic sites.
  • Ability to meet clinical productivity standards and mentor others to meet productivity standards as well.
  • Ability to access and utilize ADP or other agency applications on smartphone or device.
  • Must successfully complete Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training, including written and verbal testing and evaluation of approved physical intervention techniques.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum one (1) year of supervisory and administrative experience preferred.
  • Experience in outpatient behavioral health or Article 31 clinic setting preferred.
  • Experience supervising interns or early-career clinicians strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight of clinical work for assigned clinicians, interns, and trainees.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and support clinical and administrative performance of staff.
  • Maintain responsibility for the quality of care delivered within supervised caseloads.
  • Provide weekly clinical supervision, coaching, and mentorship to clinical staff and interns.
  • Support onboarding, orientation, and development of new clinicians and trainees.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative team culture.
  • Conduct client screenings, evaluations, assessments, and treatment planning.
  • Provide psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families using individual, group, and family modalities.
  • Utilize agency-approved evidence-based practices and treatment interventions.
  • Provide community-based or off-site visits as clinically appropriate.
  • Promote integrated, person-centered, and trauma-responsive care.
  • Support implementation of clinically appropriate treatment plans and timely documentation within the electronic health record.
  • Review records for quality, compliance, and adherence to OMH, Medicaid, and agency standards.
  • Serve as a clinical resource by maintaining current knowledge of OMH regulations, best practices, and standards of care.
  • Support audits, quality improvement efforts, and corrective action initiatives.
  • Evaluate program services to enhance client outcomes and implement improvements.
  • Maintain onsite presence and leadership support across Yonkers and Peekskill clinic locations.
  • Participate in rotating on-call Supervising Clinician schedule.
  • Support clinic coverage needs, workflow management, and staff coordination.
  • Meet productivity standards, including at least 10 billable clinical hours per week.
