About The Position

We are looking for Housekeeping Supervisors. Reporting to the Project Supervisor, and acting at the division level, the tasks of the person holding the position of Housekeeping Supervisor aim to supervise and coordinate room attendants and concierges. He/She is responsible for implementing and maintaining the cleanliness of the facilities at the highest level. Location: Nunavik. Language: French. Rotation: 14-14 (Fly-in / Fly-out). Schedule: 12 hours per day or night. Salary: Competitive compensation. Departure: Several departure airports (Montreal, Quebec, Mont-Jolie, etc.). Transport: By plane, ID card required.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years or more of experience in housekeeping or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years or more of experience in a housekeeping supervision role
  • Possess WHMIS certification (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)
  • Computer proficiency – Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Scheduling Software
  • Valid driver's license required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in remote environments in the natural resources and/or construction sector is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe work environment
  • Provide supervision, training, guidance, and support to all attendants and concierges
  • Demonstrate positive leadership and set an example of expected requirements to team members
  • Plan housekeeping staff while respecting budgets
  • Perform inventory and order supplies while respecting budgets
  • Assist the camp manager with all required documentation for reporting purposes, which may include timesheets and incident reports
  • Participate in the closing of each facility as needed, which may include, but is not limited to, inventory reports and overall cleaning tasks
  • Observe and report any necessary repairs or damage in the work area to the manager. Use the work order protocol issued by the client
  • Inspection and follow-up of the work of housekeeping staff
  • Comply with all WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), and food safety standards
  • Ensure all tasks are performed safely and report any incidents or problems immediately
  • All other tasks as needed
