About The Position

The Supervised Access Program supports families in conflict by providing a safe, child-oriented, and neutral environment where the non-residential parent(s) and/or individual(s) with designated parenting time can build a relationship with children through visitations and/or exchanges, ensuring factual, written documentation is maintained for reporting through the judicial system. The Supervised Access Facilitator will monitor and document interactions between individuals with parenting time and children in a safe, neutral, and child-focused environment, in accordance with provincial guidelines and judicial requirements.

Requirements

  • Related work experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience in family conflict, family dynamics, and custody/access issues is preferred.
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to write observation notes.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of relevant resources and funding available to clients and their families.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety, with a willingness to contribute and lead in the culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events for clients and their families/caregivers, colleagues, other community members and yourself.
  • Demonstrates professionalism in dealing with highly confidential information and situations.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in Canada
  • A valid class G Ontario driver’s licence and use of a reliable motor vehicle; insurability on Agency vehicle insurance policy
  • Clear Police Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Search

Nice To Haves

  • One year college diploma or certificate preferred, in: Personal Support Worker, Child and Youth Worker, Social Service Worker, Mental Health and Addictions Worker
  • Preference will be given to bilingual (French/English) candidates
