The Superintendent will work with the Project Manager and key subcontractors to develop and maintain the overall project schedule, including short interval schedules to meet delivery timelines for phased occupancies and the final product. This role involves ensuring safe, quality workmanship, implementing job-specific safety plans, and regularly walking the project to monitor progress against schedule and quality expectations. The Superintendent will also participate in the Quality Control plan, organize and secure necessary permits, and plan/review construction plans with the Project Manager. They will manage Project Engineers and Assistant Superintendents regarding field documentation, understand project cost estimates, and ensure work is performed within budget. A thorough understanding of construction drawings and specifications is required, along with enforcing company policies. The Superintendent will coordinate and monitor subcontractors and suppliers, manage the delivery of materials and equipment, and direct/train field associates. Project security management, maintaining project reports, and communicating with the main office about project progress and issues are key responsibilities. This role also involves coordinating testing and inspection activities, expediting site needs, meeting with supervisors to communicate production expectations, and developing/managing the project schedule. Continuous development of project associates through performance evaluations and training is expected, along with managing and updating as-built plans. Other duties as assigned.
