The Superintendent is responsible for planning and directing the work activities of piping activities. This role involves directing piping personnel to achieve project completion on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications. The Superintendent will coordinate piping personnel, material, and equipment, and support project and construction management with planning and utilization of proper means and methods for piping activities. This position also involves performing and recording site inspections, placing orders, receiving, and distributing materials. The Superintendent will analyze situations, identify and forecast problems, evaluate options, and recommend/implement courses of action. This role requires effective communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner. The Superintendent typically serves as the lead person to coordinate process piping activities within their assigned scope on an active construction work site, ensuring all work is within approved scope boundaries and in full compliance. They will also coordinate and implement activities and resources necessary for safe and quality execution, and may interact with Owner’s Field Representatives and outside testing agencies. A proven ability to promote outstanding customer service and client relations is essential.
