Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction activities in the field.
  • Experience with scheduling, manpower planning, quality control, and jobsite safety.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as needed for project assignments.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent field experience considered.
  • Experience in commercial, education, healthcare, industrial, or related construction markets preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, including short-interval planning.
  • Coordinate and supervise Pepper field personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and specialty trades.
  • Plan manpower requirements and manage labor resources effectively.
  • Monitor project progress, proactively identify challenges, and implement solutions.
  • Manage project logistics, documentation, quality control, and safety compliance.
  • Track labor, material, and equipment costs and support cost-control efforts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain strong coordination with Project Managers and other project stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and building systems, including MEP coordination
  • Promote and maintain a culture where safety is the highest priority.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and project-specific safety plans.
  • Conduct and support safety meetings, toolbox talks, and field inspections.
  • Drive quality control initiatives to ensure work is completed in accordance with project requirements and Pepper standards.
  • Build strong relationships through communication, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Lead, mentor, coach, and develop field personnel and emerging field leaders.
  • Foster teamwork and a positive project culture among all jobsite participants.
  • Provide direction and guidance while promoting professional growth and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a trusted leader for clients, project teams, and trade partners.
  • Maintain a strong client focus by understanding and exceeding client expectations.
  • Develop positive relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Represent Pepper professionally throughout the duration of the project.
