The Superintendent role involves performing remedial tasks using basic computer software, reading and interpreting construction drawings, and directing subcontractors. This position requires performing difficult and challenging construction and project management functions, including planning, directing, and budgeting for assigned projects. The role also involves administration functions, handling a variety of actions and problems related to assigned projects, reporting project fund status, reviewing billing procedures, and contractual requirement submittals. Additionally, the Superintendent will assist with project design plan review, provide direction and support to subcontractors and staff, monitor requirements for progress payments, and may assist in developing agendas for pre- and post-job conferences. The role includes performing desktop publishing, creating visual presentations, preparing cost accounting worksheets by analyzing blueprints and plans, and consulting with engineering staff. The Superintendent will assist the Project Manager with budgets, stay current on government regulations and commercial trends, monitor project compliance, and maintain customer relations through face-to-face and digital communication. Scheduling of work and overall project completion time based on the project plan is also a key responsibility, including communicating schedule deviations to the customer. Other duties as assigned will also be part of this role.
