About The Position

Industria Power & Data has partnered with D&L Electric, a professional electrical contractor with nearly 20 years of experience. D&L Electric is seeking a best-in-class Electrical Superintendent willing to roll up their sleeves and exude a passion for the field. The team is seeking a highly motivated Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale commercial, industrial, and mission-critical construction projects. This individual will provide leadership for electrical field teams, oversee project execution, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and drive successful project completion from mobilization through turnover. The ideal candidate possesses strong experience managing electrical construction activities on complex projects, including manufacturing facilities, industrial plants, commercial buildings, distribution centers, and data centers. Experience in mission-critical environments and accelerated construction schedules is highly desirable.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 10+ years of electrical construction experience in commercial, industrial, or mission-critical environments.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience as a Foreman, General Foreman, or Superintendent.
  • Proven experience leading ground-up and shell/core construction projects.
  • Experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors across large-scale projects.
  • High School diploma /GED or equivalent
  • Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience as a Journeyman Electrician
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Foreman running ground-up/ Shell & Core Construction projects
  • Must be able to pass a DISA D/A test
  • Demonstrated safe and proficient operation of equipment in a variety of work environments
  • Must be able to perform physical duties (Lifting, walking, climbing, bending, and leaning for extended periods of time)
  • Must be able to work in inclement weather (Hot, Cold) including working on high areas
  • Bend and install rigid conduit
  • Set up and pull wire and cable
  • Install electrical gear, equipment, and devices
  • Solid/stable/proven experience in electrical field
  • Read/comprehend tape measure, blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, work orders, instructions, formulas and processing charts
  • Must have knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code) and OSHA safety standards
  • Installs of conduits using a hand, mechanical, or hydraulic bender
  • Knows, understands, and follows OSHA and Safety Regulations
  • Follows L.O.T.O policies

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in mission-critical environments and accelerated construction schedules is highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting the construction of hyperscale, colocation, or mission-critical facilities is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with: UPS systems, Generator plants, Busway installations, Critical power distribution systems, Commissioning and turnover processes, Fast-track construction schedules.
  • Data center, manufacturing, industrial processing, healthcare, higher education, or large commercial project experience preferred.
  • Journeyman Electrician License, Master Electrician License, or NCCER Certification preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of: National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, Construction scheduling and manpower planning, Quality control and commissioning processes.
  • Experience utilizing Procore, Bluebeam, BIM coordination tools, and mobile field reporting applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical construction activities on commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects.
  • Manage and coordinate Electrical Foremen, Lead Electricians, subcontractors, and field personnel.
  • Oversee installation of electrical systems including: Medium- and low-voltage power distribution, Switchgear, switchboards, transformers, and panelboards, Generator and backup power systems, Lighting and lighting control systems, Grounding and bonding systems, Industrial controls and instrumentation systems, Structured cabling and low-voltage infrastructure as applicable.
  • Coordinate work activities with general contractors, owners, engineers, and other trades.
  • Review construction documents, specifications, schedules, and coordination drawings to ensure proper execution.
  • Attend project meetings and provide field updates regarding manpower, schedule, quality, and safety.
  • Support the construction of hyperscale, colocation, or mission-critical facilities.
  • Coordinate electrical activities in highly technical environments where quality, reliability, and schedule performance are critical.
