About The Position

Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, this position is responsible for overseeing the loading operation, assisting in various yard functions, conducting physical inventories; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School education or equivalent experience
  • 2 years’ manufacturing and supervision preferred.
  • Requires mechanical ability, good reading, writing, mathematical and supervisory skills.
  • Must have and maintain valid driver’s license Class A (backup DOT driver).
  • Good presentation skills including written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, and various other software.
  • Predictable and Regular attendance is required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises all block production personnel reviews daily payroll hours
  • Supervises maintenance employees to ensure the completion of preventative maintenance and timely completion of equipment repairs
  • Covers machine operators for breaks and lunches as needed
  • Supervises raw material driver.
  • Maintains accurate records for trucks and forklifts.
  • Coordinates ordering parts for block production maintenance.
  • Schedules maintenance repairs on trucks and forklifts
  • Reviews E-logs/Paper logs to ensure records match payroll
  • Becomes knowledgeable with transportation laws to the degree it assists in optimizing/organizing raw material delivery.
  • Identifies, recommends, and oversees the maintenance, repair, and capital projects that relate to block production.
  • Maintains and organizes work area per company standards for cleanliness.
  • Manages time off requests for all direct employees.
  • Coach, train, instruct, and offer guidance to all subordinates to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • With the assistance of the site Safety Coordinator, trains and ensures people have received proper training on various processes and pieces of equipment.
  • Works with Location HR Rep on recruiting and talent acquisition
  • Manages time and attendance daily via Daily Audit Reports
  • Perform annual reviews for direct reports in SuccessFactors; engage in employee development and discipline as applicable.
  • Manage employees within state guidelines for breaks, lunches, etc. and apply best practice as it relates to labor, parts, and maintenance spending.
  • Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
