About The Position

The primary function of this position is to complete new store finish-out and major store remodels. Superintendents are responsible for the on-site management and coordination of all subs and trades, the schedule, inspections, client walk-throughs and similar working job-site duties.

Requirements

• A solid background in all aspects of retail finish-out including new store construction, major store remodels and open-store phased remodels.
• A comprehensive understanding of floor plans, and similar construction drawings as they apply to layout of walls, placement of openings, electrical and plumbing, retail fixtures, dimensions, and placement of signage.
• Previous experience with carpentry, fixture installation and general commercial remodeling is necessary.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds, reach, stand, bend, pull, push, twist, and kneel.

Nice To Haves

• Previous trade school courses are strongly preferred.
• Previous Superintendent experience on retail remodeling or finish-out projects.

Responsibilities

• On-site management and coordination of all subs and trades, the schedule, inspections, client walk-throughs and similar working job-site duties.
• Supervision of sub-contractors in all finish-out trades in completing store locations.
• Daytime or nighttime supervision of tradesmen as well as the scheduling and receipt of materials overnight though the mall.
• Extensive Client contact and exceptional customer service skills.
• Maintaining updated job files utilizing MS Excel and Outlook.
• Providing job-site progress photos utilizing digital photography.
• Occasional “hands-on” labor will be required; however, this will be limited.
