The primary goal for the building superintendent is to provide a safe and adequate living/working environment for the tenants and assigned staff. The building superintendent is responsible for the daily cleaning, maintenance, repairs, and building code compliance. Facilities Maintenance and Technical Proficiency: Applies strong hands-on skills in building systems—including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs—to maintain safe, functional, and code-compliant properties. Leadership and Staff Oversight: Supervises maintenance personnel effectively by communicating expectations, evaluating performance, and ensuring proper training to support building operations. Emergency Response and Problem-Solving: Responds promptly to building emergencies, troubleshoots issues creatively and efficiently, and coordinates necessary repairs to ensure continuous safety and livability for tenants and staff. Communication, Coordination and Record Management: Communicates clearly with tenants, vendors, program staff, and management to support operational goals. Maintains accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and violations.
