About The Position

Tutor Perini O&G Joint Venture is seeking a Superintendent to join our Newark Air Train project at Newark International Airport in Newark, NJ. As a Superintendent at Tutor Perini O&G Joint Venture, reporting to the Project Executive, you will have the opportunity to supervise the construction effort to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. You will assume responsibility for planning, coordinating, and supervising onsite functions such as scheduling and subcontractor coordination. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance of crafts and subcontractors with contract documents, efficient use of materials and equipment, and timely performance of the project schedule. You will provide technical assistance, including interpretation of drawings and recommending construction methods and equipment. You will also assist project management in developing the project schedule, site logistics plan, and implementing project procedures, working documents, and standards. Supporting the Site Specific Safety Plan and coordinating with on-site Owner employees are also key aspects of this role. Additional assignments may be requested by your supervisor.

Requirements

• 20 years of supervisory field experience with large heavy civil infrastructure construction projects valued at 200 million plus.
• Minimum of 10 years construction superintendent and/or craft supervision experience in new building and/or structure construction including, piles, concrete and structural steel.
• Knowledge, skills and experience with U.S. construction methods, techniques, and standards.
• Experience with City, State, Federal Government Clients preferred
• Knowledge of contract management and familiarity with local trade/unions/craft
• MS Word/Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy bid
• OSHA certification, First Aid Certs
• Excellent written and verbal skills

Nice To Haves

• Highschool diploma or GED preferred but not required

Responsibilities
