About The Position

The Superintendent is responsible for setting and managing client expectations, developing a detailed project plan, defining the scope of the project, understanding project risks and assigning team members to specific tasks. This is a key level position and requires a key license. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to document project scope, deliverables, goals, risks, blockers, success measures, and estimated resources needed. The Superintendent ensures that projects remain in-scope and meet budgetary, scheduling, and quality requirements, and creates, manages, and distributes project communications artifacts like charters, schedules, and budgets. They provide project status updates at predetermined time intervals to all stakeholders and communicate routinely to management, customers, project team members, and other stakeholders, actively soliciting and addressing customer and project team feedback. The role also assists in business development efforts to create project proposals, RFPs, estimates, and schedules, and sets and monitors project budgets and staffing requirements. Ensuring adherence to legally binding requirements, planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting on project activities, including subcontractor monitoring, are also key responsibilities. The Superintendent establishes key project criteria metrics, develops project control and reporting procedures, and manages changes in the operational plan. They plan and lead status review meetings, which may include internal team members, vendors, and customers, and are responsible for training, managing, and motivating the project team, as well as resolving team conflicts. Finally, the Superintendent resolves technical and operational issues as required.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to the applicable statute, rules and regulations
  • Associate's Degree in Project Management preferred
  • OR Two (2) years' experience in a Supervisory position
  • OR Two (2) years' experience in the hiring position's Department
  • Three (3) years' related work experience
  • Ability to perform each job responsibility satisfactorily
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals and other related documents
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from other Team Members or guests
  • Fluency in English required
  • Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to compute complex mathematical calculations
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to decipher various reports and maintains reports upon request with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines
  • Must be able to interact with internal and external guests in a professional manner
  • Employees must be able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property
  • This position may require obtaining a gaming level license
