About The Position

North Tarrant Infrastructure, LLC is one of the subsidiaries of the Ferrovial Group in the U.S. It is currently working on several projects in the U.S., including the North Tarrant Express (NTE) Projects (“NTE Projects”). The NTE Extension Project is a part of the NTE Projects, which consist of a series of major highway improvements to the critical I-820 and SH-121/183 corridor in North Tarrant County, Texas. The NTE Projects will relieve congestion, improve safety, and provide for anticipated traffic growth in one of the country’s fastest developing regions. The NTE First Project was a $1.451 billion design-build project consisting of rebuilding the existing main lanes as well as adding four toll-managed lanes, frontage roads and auxiliary lanes in the corridor between I-35 West and Industrial Boulevard. The NTE Extension Project is the next part of the NTE Projects. The construction of the original $984 million part of the project (Segment 3A) was completed by North Tarrant Infrastructure, LLC, and the current $580.5 million part (Segment 3C) of the NTE Extension Project is presently being carried out by North Tarrant Infrastructure, LLC. The Superintendent's responsibilities include coordinating and supervising construction activities within the project. This includes adhering to the project schedule, priorities, design, quality standards, and requirements. Additionally, they will issue directives to Foremen to manage crews, as well as plan and schedule all requirements for labor, equipment, and materials costs strategically. This role involves ensuring the timely completion of assignment operations while staying within the budget.

Requirements

Five (5) years of experience working in large civil infrastructure Design build or Design-bid-build projects valued at $400 million or more with the following specific experience in the transportation sector, including experience working on brownfield projects frequently required by the client to keep the infrastructure open to traffic
experience managing construction activities related to highways, bridges, road or runway construction projects
effectively managing and coordinating subcontractors, including overseeing their daily activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety
using Microsoft Office Excel to track payments of subcontractors, manage the construction budget and control construction costs
experience using Procore to log time sheets, keep track of daily reports, access design drawings, complete quality inspections (IPPs), input information for QA observations (Warnings, Construction Deficiency Reports and Non-Conformance) and accessing Procedure of Resolution for those observations (PORs)
experienced with interpreting drawings and survey layouts and survey verifications
conducting daily field inspections to monitor production process and adjust schedule as needed
coordinating multidisciplinary construction teams which include design and construction engineers, superintendents, and inspectors.

Responsibilities

Promoting job site safety, encourages safe work practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately
Ensuring all company employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy
Coordinating construction activities
Directing subcontractor field personnel to achieve completion of the projects on schedule, within Budget within quality workmanship that conforms the original plans
Coordinating and planning daily work with Associate Project Manager and Project Manager
Report progress and coordinate long-term schedules with Segment Manager
Maintaining construction schedule by identifying and solving problems in advance or as they are discovered
Ordering materials and scheduling inspections throughout the process
Responsible for the Quality Control Inspections in his area and cooperate with the Quality Department with Quality Assurances Inspections
Ensuring that all resources assigned are maintained, protected, secured, and utilized efficiently
Maintaining an organized job site
Responsible for daily activity reports and tracking materials
Analyzing problems and making sound decisions in a timely manner based on objectives, risk, implications, and costs.
