About The Position

Provides on-site field administration and supervision, including technical management for all construction operations. This role involves direct supervision of assistants, foremen, subcontractors, and other construction personnel. The Superintendent is responsible for ensuring timely project completion through effective scheduling, coordination, and expediting of material deliveries. Key responsibilities include overseeing all site activities, such as adherence to plans and specifications, quality of work, safety, and overall coordination. The position also plays a crucial role in assisting Project Management and Preconstruction with schedule development and maintaining detailed project documentation.

Requirements

  • Development, implementation, maintenance, and enforcement of a project specific quality assurance and quality control program.
  • Performance and monitoring of project control reporting measures (daily reports, quality assurance reporting, accident and incident reports, Safety and Erosion and Sediment Control Reports).
  • Performance or management of site orientations.
  • Oversight and compliance with CCIP program requirements.
  • Working knowledge of all project plans, specifications, Owner Contract, Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, daily correspondence, RFI’s, shop drawings, submittals, and all other project related documents.
  • Maintenance of a complete and accurate set of as-built documents.
  • Oversight of all layout and field engineering.
  • Coordination of daily construction activities within existing operating facilities.
  • Development and execution of a plan for monitoring and completing punchlist items.
  • Ensuring Safety Orientations occur for all subcontractors.
  • Inspection of the site for OSHA violations and unsafe practices and conditions.
  • Assistance with field related activities.
  • Implementation and interpretation of safety programs.
  • Adherence to all company, department, and technical policies, procedures, standards.
  • Preparation and maintenance of all required documentation and records according to State and Federal compliance as well as company procedures.
  • Notification of all subcontractors and vendors of job status and upcoming responsibilities.
  • Management and oversight of all third-party Inspections.
  • Coordination of all third-party on-site testing.
  • Notification of Architects/Engineers of required/needed inspections.
  • Conducting weekly foreman meetings.
  • Maintenance of a clean and organized site and trailer/office.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures timely project completion through project scheduling and coordination and expediting of material deliveries.
  • Responsible for all site activities (plan and specification adherence, quality of work, safety, and overall coordination).
  • Assists Project Management and Preconstruction with development of the initial CPM schedule. Develops and maintains the project Three Week Look Ahead Schedule. Updates, maintains, communicates, and manages all subcontractors and vendors to the schedule.
  • Develops, controls, maintains, and enforces a project site logistics plan and temporary facilities plan.
  • Develops, implements, maintains, and enforces a project specific quality assurance and quality control program.
  • Performs and monitors all project control reporting measures including daily reports, quality assurance reporting, accident and incident reports (theft/fire/vandalism/accident), Safety and Erosion and Sediment Control Reports.
  • Performs or manages the site orientations with all subcontractors, vendors, etc.
  • Oversees and ensures compliance with CCIP program requirements including confirmation of subcontractor enrollment, accident/incident reporting, site inspections and the like.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all project plans, specifications, Owner Contract, Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, daily correspondence, RFI’s, shop drawings, submittals, and all other project related documents, and maintains a complete and accurate set of as-built documents.

  • Prepares and maintains all required documentation and records according to State and Federal compliance as well as company procedures.
  • Notifies all subcontractors and vendors of job status and upcoming responsibilities.
  • Manages and oversees all third-party Inspections (Township, State, financing institutions, environmental, health department, etc.).
  • Coordinates all third-party on-site testing (soils, concrete, steel, masonry, fireproofing, etc.).
  • Notifies Architects/Engineers of required/needed inspections.
  • Conducts weekly foreman meetings (safety, work procedures, site storage and staging).
  • Maintains a clean and organized site and trailer/office.
