The ideal candidate is an expert in all phases of construction including base building, concrete, structural shell, interior CSA, MEP systems, commissioning, and turnover. This leader will mentor field teams, manage project schedules, maintain client relationships, and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position is ideal for someone who has successfully managed large-scale commercial or mission-critical construction projects, including projects valued at $100M+.

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years of commercial construction experience
  • Experience managing projects valued at $100 million or greater
  • Strong knowledge of: Concrete, Structural shell, CSA construction, MEP systems, Commissioning, Project closeout
  • Experience leading large field teams
  • Strong understanding of Design-Build project delivery
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to mentor and develop construction professionals
  • Strong client relationship management experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering
  • Journeyman certification
  • Data Center construction experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following sectors: Mission Critical / Data Centers, Healthcare, Commercial, Higher Education, Industrial

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day field operations for assigned projects
  • Manage multiple projects or large-scale construction projects simultaneously
  • Drive project schedules and coordinate all field activities
  • Conduct daily site walks and monitor project progress
  • Ensure successful project commissioning and closeout
  • Review project schedules during weekly planning meetings
  • Champion an injury-free safety culture
  • Conduct weekly site safety inspections
  • Lead project safety initiatives and training
  • Partner with the safety committee to implement company safety policies
  • Mentor Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and Foremen
  • Build and develop high-performing project teams
  • Foster a positive company culture
  • Provide coaching, leadership, and performance guidance
  • Address employee concerns with professionalism and empathy
  • Serve as the primary field contact for clients
  • Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, and engineers
  • Participate in networking and business development opportunities
  • Assist with RFP responses, logistics planning, and project pursuits
  • Identify opportunities with existing and prospective clients
  • Oversee CSA and MEP construction activities
  • Coordinate Design-Build project execution
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and owners
  • Maintain accurate daily reports and field documentation
  • Lead pull-planning and scheduling efforts
  • Ensure projects meet quality, schedule, and budget objectives
