About The Position

As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams while maintaining strong communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy civil construction, including pipe, dirt, and bridge construction, and possess strong leadership and problem-solving skills to successfully drive projects from pre-construction through completion.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial or heavy civil construction
  • Experience in pipe, dirt, and bridge construction
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices
  • Experience with subcontracting, pre-construction, and constructability reviews
  • Experience with masonry and demolition
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Knowledge of heavy civil construction operations and sequencing
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and field operations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with BIM and other construction technology tools
  • Ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors across active projects
  • Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or civil construction projects

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all phases of construction projects including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, field personnel, and suppliers
  • Serve as the main point of contact for project stakeholders including clients, contractors, and vendors
  • Collaborate with project management teams to identify and resolve issues during construction
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation and reporting
  • Monitor project schedules and proactively address delays or challenges
  • Conduct regular jobsite inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality
