About The Position

Tutor Perini O&G Joint Venture is seeking a Superintendent to join our Newark Air Train project at Newark International Airport in Newark, NJ. As a Superintendent, reporting to the Project Executive, you will supervise the construction effort to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. You will assume responsibility for planning, coordinating, and supervising onsite functions, including scheduling and subcontractor coordination. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with contract documents, efficient use of materials and equipment, and timely performance of the project schedule. Additionally, you will provide technical assistance, assist project management with schedule and logistics planning, support the Site Specific Safety Plan, and coordinate with on-site Owner employees. Additional assignments may be requested by your supervisor.

Requirements

• 20 years of supervisory field experience with large heavy civil infrastructure construction projects valued at 200 million plus.
• Minimum of 10 years construction superintendent and/or craft supervision experience in new building and/or structure construction including, piles, concrete and structural steel.
• Knowledge, skills and experience with U.S. construction methods, techniques, and standards.
• Experience with City, State, Federal Government Clients preferred
• Knowledge of contract management and familiarity with local trade/unions/craft
• MS Word/Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy bid
• OSHA certification, First Aid Certs
• Excellent written and verbal skills

• Highschool diploma or GED preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
• Assume responsibility for planning, coordinating and supervising onsite functions (scheduling, subcontractor coordination, etc.).
• Assume responsibility for compliance of crafts and subcontractors with contract documents, efficient use of materials & equipment, and timely performance of the project schedule.
• Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required.
• Assist project management in developing, project schedule, site logistics plan and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc.
• Support Site Specific Safety Plan.
• Coordinate with on-site Owner employees.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
