About The Position
As a Superintendent I, you'll take the lead on the ground, overseeing construction projects from groundbreaking to closeout. You'll keep the job site safe, on schedule, and on budget while holding every trade partner to Samet's standard of quality. You'll set the tone for the whole team, building trust with owners, designers, and subcontractors along the way. It's a role built for someone ready to take real ownership of a project and deliver it the right way, every time.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of proven experience as a construction project superintendent.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (required).
- Demonstrated mastery of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to build trust and inspire confidence in your team.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- A genuine commitment to continuous professional development and superior customer service.
- A valid driver's license is required.
Nice To Haves
- Understanding of Lean Construction practices and LEED Green building requirements (preferred).
- Experience in commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, or multi-family construction markets (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Provide field oversight across all phases of assigned construction projects.
- Develop and manage project schedules that keep work on track.
- Manage subcontractor performance to keep the job moving.
- Prepare project documentation that supports coordination and effective site management.
- Implement and execute Quality Control/Quality Assurance programs.
- Promote an injury-free job site through safety initiatives and our award-winning safety program.
- Build strong relationships with owners, designers, subcontractors, and other trade partners.
- Ensure site work is completed according to project plans and specifications.
