About The Position

The Construction Superintendents’ role is to lead and manage any on-site construction, overseeing all work activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, according to specifications, while maintaining a safe job site. Collaborating with project managers to develop and execute project plans, budgets, and schedules. Maintain accurate project records and documentation. Supervise field crews (including subcontractors and onsite personnel). Interpret and apply construction documents to include plans, specifications, contracts, shop drawings, submittmits, and schedules. Monitor project progress to ensure compliance with contract requirements, plans, and specifications. Manage labor, materials, and equipment resources to maintain project schedules and control costs. Identify and resolve field issues while maintaining project quality and productivity. Demonstrate working knowledge of construction means, methods, and related trades. Operate basic construction equipment, including skid steers and loaders, as needed. Promote and enforce all company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 5 years+ experience leading and managing onsite construction work
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Ability to pass Fit for Duty physical test
  • Clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Perform physical tasks that require a full range of motion
  • Able to work 8 to 12-hour workdays, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively
  • Proficiency in actual performance of work and equipment/tools necessary
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; able to work with all levels of contractors, subcontractors, employees and management within the organization
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
  • Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them
  • Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints, drawings, and plan
  • Ability to be punctual and dependable
  • A strong commitment to safety and quality work
  • Must provide a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC)
