About The Position

Tutor Perini Corporation is seeking a Superintendent to join our project site in Midtown Manhattan. As a Superintendent at Tutor Perini Corp., reporting to Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to supervise construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. You will assume responsibility for planning, coordinating and supervising onsite functions (scheduling, subcontractor coordination, etc.). You will also assume responsibility for compliance of crafts and subcontractors with contract documents, efficient use of materials & equipment, and timely performance of the project schedule. You will provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required. You will assist project management in developing the project schedule, site logistics plan and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc. Tutor Perini builds extraordinary projects, which need exceptional talent. Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Requirements

  • HS or equivalent required.
  • 20 years of field supervisory experience to include at least 10 years in a Superintendent role on projects valued at 200 million or above.
  • Experience in new building and/or structure construction including piles, concrete, structural steel, etc.
  • Knowledge, skills and experience with U.S. construction methods, techniques, and standards.
  • Experience with City, State, Federal Government Clients preferred
  • Knowledge of contract management and familiarity with local trade/unions/craft
  • MS Word/Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy bid
  • OSHA certification, First Aid Certs
  • Excellent written and verbal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Four (4) year Engineering, Construction Management or similar degree from an accredited institution desired.
