About The Position

Responsible for the installation of various waterproofing treatments and assistance in waterproofing applications and work. This role involves performing leak investigations, water testing, and repairs for water infiltration. The technician will install waterproofing treatments using equipment according to established procedures and assist with a range of waterproofing chemicals and coating products. Minor exterior repairs for concrete, masonry, sealant, and waterproofing issues on buildings and parking structures are also part of the duties. Access to work areas may require the use of specialized equipment like boom lifts, scissor lifts, swing stages, scaffolds, ladders, or bosun chairs to reach heights. Training will be provided for these tasks. The role also includes performing integrity testing and troubleshooting to identify defects in waterproofing membranes/coatings, ensuring tools and equipment are in working order, and adhering to all health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High degree of physical fitness and endurance to complete physical aspects of the job, including the ability to lift objects weighing up to 25kg
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation to complete tasks without direct supervision
  • Execute professionalism in waterproofing works
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Flexibility to work extended and non-standard hours as required
  • 0-3 years of experience in waterproofing or related field

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong understanding of roofing, waterproofing and coatings materials

  • Perform integrity testing and troubleshooting testing to identify any breeches or defects in the project’s existing waterproofing membrane/coatings
  • Ensure all tools, supplies, and equipment are in working order, and arrange for replacements as necessary
  • Adhere to all health and safety practices and procedures
  • Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations, including building, trade, fire, and construction codes, as well as company policies.
