About the role: An excellent opportunity exists for an Underground Mobile Maintenance Superintendent – Asset Management to join our team in a local role based at our Salt Lake City operation. This position offers a broad and diverse scope of work, where your ability to engage, connect, and positively influence stakeholders at all levels will be key to your success. This is a value‑adding role where you will help maximize the performance of the underground mine by implementing effective maintenance and asset management practices aligned to business priorities. Reporting to the Asset Management Manager – Underground Operations, your key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

Requirements

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Bachelor’s degree, technical qualification, or trade certification in a related field
  • Experience in mobile maintenance and asset management practices, with prior leadership experience
  • Ability to analyze data and make effective strategic and operational decisions
  • Experience monitoring, managing, and reporting performance metrics
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across multiple teams and functions
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to lead, influence, and motivate teams, driving engagement and performance
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of underground fixed and mobile equipment is advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Leading diverse teams to achieve safety, environmental, and cost objectives
  • Taking a proactive approach to safety, including participating in incident investigations, hazard studies, and safety improvement initiatives
  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing team members while fostering a culture of genuine care and accountability
  • Managing the asset management budget and operating plan to optimize cost and deliver key performance outcomes
  • Driving continuous improvement to enhance equipment availability, reliability, and productivity through best practice processes
  • Collaborating closely with Operations, Contractor Management, and HSE teams to achieve business objectives
  • Monitoring and analyzing performance data to inform decision-making and resolve operational issues
  • Supporting critical breakdowns and incidents outside of standard working hours as required
