About The Position

Oversee and manage the operational efficiency and safety of railway services. Lead a team of dedicated professionals to ensure the smooth operation of trains, stations, and related facilities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
Plus 13 years of relevant work experience.
In-depth knowledge of railway operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and fleet management
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve their full potential
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational challenges
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels
Demonstrated commitment to safety and a track record of promoting a culture of safety excellence within an organization

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership to ensure safe, punctual, and efficient train services, collaborating with teams for resource optimization and service enhancement.
Uphold safety standards through implementation of regulations, conducting audits to mitigate risks.
Monitor KPIs for on-time performance, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction, driving continuous improvement.
Manage staffing, equipment, and infrastructure for optimal resource utilization while controlling costs.
Develop emergency response plans, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure regulatory compliance to maintain operational integrity and Amtrak's operating license.
