This position is responsible for directing the activities of construction crews and supervising construction projects on a daily basis. The role involves initiating, carrying out, monitoring, and assigning work to crews, and working alongside crew members when needed. Key responsibilities include keeping jobs on schedule, performing inspections, training employees, providing technical advice, evaluating employee performance and attendance, and completing daily paperwork. The Superintendent is the primary communicator with owners/customers, project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. This role also assists in resolving safety issues, ensuring OSHA compliance, and promoting company culture through effective Leadership, Management, and Accountability (LMA), while enforcing company general and safety policies. The Superintendent I is the fifth level of an eight-level construction series.
