About The Position

The Superintendent I will oversee and coordinate construction activities on-site. The Superintendent I will be responsible for managing subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This position requires strong leadership abilities, construction management experience, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management or related field, with a proven track record of successfully managing construction projects.
  • 8–10+ years' experience in steel erection, pre-engineered metal buildings, Insulated metal panels.
  • Prior experience as a General Foreman (or equivalent)
  • OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Strong working knowledge of: Crane operations, Rigging and lift planning/strategies, Steel sequencing, Construction drawings/documents
  • Proven ability to lead large crews/field teams and drive performance
  • Ability to support/enforce temporary bracing plans and engineered lift strategies
  • Experience with EVR goals, equipment logistics, and material coordination

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field is preferred but not required.
  • Additional safety credentials a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all construction activities on-site, including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, material procurement, and equipment logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards, and implement corrective actions as needed to address deviations and issues.
  • Supervise subcontractors and tradespeople, ensuring they adhere to project schedules, quality requirements, and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities, resolve conflicts, and provide guidance and direction to ensure efficient and productive workflow.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all personnel on-site.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits, identify hazards and risks, and take corrective actions to mitigate potential accidents and injuries.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure workmanship, materials, and installations meet project specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks at various stages of construction and address any deficiencies or non-conformances in a timely manner.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including project managers, clients, architects, and engineers.
  • Provide regular progress updates, reports, and documentation to project management and stakeholders, and address any concerns or issues proactively.
  • Lead and supervise field personnel, including foremen, laborers, and subcontractors, to ensure they perform their duties effectively and efficiently.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promote teamwork and communication, and provide mentorship and coaching to support professional growth and development.
