About The Position

Under general direction, the Superintendent is responsible for coordinating, supervising, and ensuring efficient operations of assigned trades and installation processes. This role serves as a collaborative partner with employees, field leaders, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure safe and smooth project execution.

Requirements

  • Must have experience at the journey-worker level.
  • Leadership experience and time management skills are a must.
  • The ability to problem solve and make decisions is required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels in the organization, as well as general contractors, owners and other trades is necessary.
  • Attention to detail and superior organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively is required.
  • Must be flexible in adapting to changing and challenging situations.
  • Must be a self-starter who can recognize what needs to be done as well as demonstrated ability to work well under pressure with deadlines.
  • Must be able to work on job sites in a variety of environmental conditions and able to walk job sites in various stages of completion; must be able to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to jobs sites and meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee installations, assist with schedules and coordinate work according to requirements, codes, and budgets; communicate regularly on project status and any issues.
  • Provide guidance, direction and support to team members to ensure safety, productivity, and quality of work being performed.
  • Inspect work to identify potential issues, implement corrective actions, and maintain related records.
  • Effectively manage project resources, including labor, materials and equipment within budget and established timelines.
  • Lead and develop team members on technical aspects of the work, as well as emerging technologies, safety and company policies; provide coaching and disciplinary action as needed.
  • Assist with final inspections and preparing punch lists.
