About The Position

Our disaster preparation and response capabilities span debris removal, drainage system maintenance, temporary housing solutions, and roof repair. After the storm passes, the Dynamic team continues to deliver large-scale residential and general building construction projects, hurricane protection infrastructure, program management, and supporting complex, multi-jurisdictional recovery operations. Dynamic Group’s specialization in heavy civil construction and complex disaster recovery operations enables us to partner with federal, state, and local agencies to restore infrastructure and communities quickly and safely. Our experience includes major recovery efforts following Hurricanes Katrina, Gustav, Ike, Sandy, Laura, Delta, Irma, Maria, and Florence, as well as the 2016 Louisiana floods and COVID-19 emergency response operations. Position Summary The Superintendent is the on-site leader for residential rehabilitation and reconstruction projects, ensuring that work is performed safely, to specification, and on schedule. This position requires a hands-on manager who can oversee subcontractor crews, coordinate daily activities, and serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners during construction. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator, skilled in problem-solving, and comfortable enforcing quality standards in a field environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of field supervision in residential construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; mobile field software experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with homeowners, crews, and clients.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with federally funded housing programs (FEMA, HUD, CDBG-DR) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations at assigned construction sites.
  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractor activities to ensure steady progress.
  • Communicate with homeowners on-site to address questions and concerns.
  • Monitor safety compliance and enforce site safety rules.
  • Review and implement project plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Identify and resolve construction issues in coordination with the Construction Manager and Project Manager.
  • Track punch-list items and drive completion for project closeout.
