About The Position

The Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role oversees field operations, including scheduling, production, procurement of materials and equipment, supervision of craft labor, and coordination of subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of Data Center construction experience
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and sequencing
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and building codes
  • Experience managing subcontractors and understanding trade scopes of work
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Basic Spanish language skills
  • Experience using CMiC
  • Experience delivering hospital or healthcare construction projects valued at $10M+

Responsibilities

  • Review project plans and specifications to develop construction procedures, staffing plans, and sequencing.
  • Partner with the Project Manager to develop the master schedule and maintain short-term "look-ahead" schedules.
  • Coordinate pre-construction meetings prior to project mobilization.
  • Plan and direct the procurement and delivery of tools, equipment, and materials to support project schedules.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust schedules, staffing, and resources as needed.
  • Supervise all field personnel and direct labor on assigned projects.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors throughout each phase of construction.
  • Ensure subcontractors understand project scope, schedule, sequencing, and quality expectations before mobilization.
  • Assign work, manage crew composition, and coordinate labor resources with the Manager of Craft Resources.
  • Address workforce concerns and assist in resolving complaints or grievances.
  • Participate in hiring decisions and performance management, including disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Maintain regular communication with Project Managers, Clients and owners, Design and engineering teams, Inspectors, Field supervisors, Craft personnel, and Subcontractors.
  • Conduct routine project meetings to review progress, identify risks, and develop solutions.
  • Keep all stakeholders informed of schedule changes, project milestones, and field issues.
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, company quality standards, and construction schedules.
  • Promote and enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across the project site.

  • Monitor labor productivity, material usage, project costs, and overall field performance.
  • Identify construction challenges and collaborate with engineering, suppliers, and project leadership to develop effective solutions.
