About The Position

The Cut and Sew Superintendent will be responsible for the daily operations of a Cutting and a Sewing Department. This role involves managing all aspects of these departments with the assistance of managers, maintaining quality control, safety standards, and labor efficiencies. The Superintendent will also work closely with the upholstery floor to resolve quality or production issues and identify and address fabric and leather issues by collaborating with the Purchasing Department. Adherence to all safety policies and procedures is mandatory, along with performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 5 years+ as a Cut and Sew Superintendent in an upholstered furniture factory
• Ability to work with all levels of the company
• Excel, Word, and SAP skills are required
• Technical knowledge of cutting and sewing operations
• Knowledge of Fabric and Leather standards
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing techniques

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of Cut and Sew departments with the assistance of managers
