About The Position

The Commercial Superintendent is responsible for managing all field operations from project start through completion. This individual will lead on-site construction activities, coordinate subcontractors, maintain project schedules, enforce safety standards, and ensure projects are completed with the highest level of quality, on time, and within budget. Projects may include: K-12 and higher education facilities Retail developments Office buildings Commercial tenant improvements Municipal and public facilities Other commercial construction projects

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent managing commercial construction projects.
  • Experience leading projects in one or more of the following sectors: Education Retail Office Commercial renovations Ground-up commercial construction
  • Strong knowledge of commercial building methods, scheduling, sequencing, and quality control.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day jobsite operations for commercial construction projects.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules while driving milestone completion.
  • Conduct daily jobsite meetings and coordinate workflow among all trades.
  • Ensure strict compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
  • Perform quality control inspections to ensure work meets project specifications.
  • Identify and resolve field issues proactively to minimize project delays.
  • Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions and project stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, schedules, and project documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, architects, and owners throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients while maintaining a professional jobsite environment.
