About The Position

This position is responsible for managing field operations for self-performed, large scope commercial projects, such as water/waste-water treatment facilities, industrial structures and commercial buildings.

Requirements

5+ years of experience managing large scope commercial projects as a general contractor.
Proven experience in managing skilled trades and sub-contractors.
Must have strong working knowledge of commercial means and methods along with general best practices.
Ability to interpret plans and provide clear direction regarding all required specifications.
Must have knowledge of and strict adherence to OSHA Construction Standards.
Ability to collaborate and cooperate with others, including peers, clients, subcontractors, general public and code officials.
Must stay current on emerging industry trends/technology and pursue continuous education.
Must operate in a character consistent with company values (Skill, Integrity and Responsibility) in the best interest of our clients.
Ability to work flexible hours.

Nice To Haves

Bachelors in construction management, construction science, engineering, or related field is preferred, but not required.
Ability to run a total station is preferred
Experience with water/waste-water treatment facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

Work alongside Project Manager to ensure projects are completed safely and on-schedule.
Manage and assist with self-performed and sub-contracted scopes of work.
Maintain an organized and safe working environment.
Provide status reports regarding production, anticipated challenges and labor needs.
Conduct scheduled sub-contractor meetings and safety debriefs.
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations across all project phases.
Resolve any project-related issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to timelines and budgets.
Other miscellaneous duties as directed by the VP of the Commercial Building Division.
