About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale infrastructure projects throughout New York City. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with deep expertise in heavy civil construction, including foundations, structural systems, and complex site operations. You will play a critical role in delivering high-profile public works projects—ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives are met while leading field teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Requirements

10+ years of experience as a Superintendent on heavy civil or infrastructure projects
Proven experience delivering projects valued at $200M+
Strong experience with large general contractors
Expertise in Support of Excavation (SOE) systems, including: Secant piles, Caissons, Soldier pile & lagging, Structural bracing systems (walers, struts, rakers)
Experience with foundations, concrete, and structural steel construction
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents
Proficiency with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
Experience working with public sector clients (city, state, or federal) preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, HCSS, and Microsoft Office
OSHA 30 certification (required)
Must be authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship available)

Responsibilities

Oversee daily field operations for large-scale civil construction projects
Lead and coordinate crews, subcontractors, and field staff to meet project milestones
Ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications
Interpret construction drawings, structural details, and geotechnical reports
Plan and manage sequencing of critical work activities
Monitor productivity, quality, and schedule performance
Coordinate with project management, engineers, and client representatives
Manage inspections, permits, and compliance with city, state, and federal requirements
Identify and resolve field issues, minimizing delays and cost impacts
Maintain accurate daily reports and field documentation
