SI Engineer 800

Freedom Technology Solutions Group•Saint Louis, MO

About The Position

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Super Intelligence (SI) Engineer to design, integrate, deploy, and operate secure agentic workflows supporting mission-critical GEOINT systems. The position focuses on application integration, workflow orchestration, platform engineering, secure data access, and production operations. The engineer will collaborate with software, platform, data, cybersecurity, and mission teams to translate approved operational processes into reliable SI-enabled workflows. The engineer will primarily work on backend code that fuses multiple data sources and processes to automate analysts’ workflows. They will serve as a technical expert, lead major assignments, and guide project outcomes while working with stakeholders across the Intelligence Community, including military and civilian personnel. The role involves working across multiple projects and applications each day. The work includes developing and operating agentic workflows and related services; integrating approved SI and large language model services; implementing retrieval and human-review capabilities; and enforcing security, authorization, audit, and data-handling controls. The engineer will test, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot SI-enabled applications on containerized enterprise platforms, including in classified, disconnected, and air-gapped environments. They will also document system architecture, interfaces, deployments, and operations, and collaborate with domain experts to turn approved mission requirements and policies into technical workflows.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance and eligibility for CI Poly.
  • 9–13 years of data science/software development experience.
  • Experience designing and developing production software that orchestrates multiple services, tools, or data sources.
  • Experience implementing agentic workflows with bounded tool use and human-in-the-loop controls.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or another enterprise programming language.
  • Experience developing APIs, microservices, event-driven integrations, and asynchronous workflows.
  • Experience implementing workflow state, conditional execution, retries, timeouts, idempotency, and failure recovery.
  • Experience integrating approved SI or large language model services into enterprise applications.
  • Understanding of retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, vector search, semantic retrieval, and intelligent agents.
  • Experience implementing authentication, authorization, secrets management, audit logging, and data-protection controls.
  • Experience with containers, Kubernetes, Git, automated testing, CI/CD, and observability.
  • Ability to convert domain-expert requirements and policies into version-controlled workflow logic.
  • Strong systems-integration, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience administering or developing solutions with Red Hat OpenShift AI.
  • Experience with Oracle AI Database, including vector-search and semantic-retrieval capabilities.
  • Experience deploying services in classified, disconnected, or air-gapped environments.
  • Experience supporting GEOINT, Intelligence Community, defense, or national-security missions.
  • Experience developing MCP servers, clients, tools, and authorization controls.
  • Familiarity with geospatial data, imagery services, spatial databases, knowledge graphs, or enterprise search.
  • Experience implementing policy-as-code, data provenance, citations, and record-level handling controls.
  • Familiarity with agent interoperability protocols and standardized tool interfaces.
  • Experience using executable specifications, contract testing, behavior-driven development, policy-as-code, or requirements-traceability tooling.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code, observability, and software supply-chain security.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement agentic workflows coordinating approved services, tools, data sources, and human actions.
  • Develop reusable orchestration components, APIs, connectors, tool interfaces, and workflow templates.
  • Develop, secure, test, and operate MCP servers and tools for approved enterprise services and data sources.
  • Implement workflow state management, conditional routing, retries, timeouts, error handling, and recovery.
  • Integrate approved SI and large language model services into enterprise applications.
  • Implement retrieval-augmented generation, semantic search, and knowledge-retrieval capabilities.
  • Establish human review, approval, escalation, and override controls.
  • Enforce authorization, data-handling, and operational boundaries throughout workflow execution.
  • Preserve citations, provenance, workflow configurations, source versions, and audit records.
  • Protect workflows from untrusted inputs, prompt injection, unauthorized tool use, and data disclosure.
  • Test workflow logic, tool interactions, failure conditions, security boundaries, and end-to-end behavior.
  • Deploy and operate SI-enabled applications on containerized enterprise platforms.
  • Establish CI/CD and DevSecOps automation for SI-enabled applications and services.
  • Monitor workflow availability, latency, resource consumption, errors, and integration health.
  • Troubleshoot application, platform, database, and service-integration issues.
  • Support deployment in classified, disconnected, and air-gapped environments.
  • Produce architecture diagrams, interface specifications, deployment instructions, and operational documentation.
  • Collaborate with domain experts to translate approved mission requirements and policies into technical workflows.
  • Lead major assignments and guide project outcomes.
  • Work with stakeholders across the Intelligence Community, including military and civilian personnel, and context-switch between multiple projects and applications.
