Requirements

- Annual registry, background, and motor vehicle record reviews are part of our commitment to safety.
- Successful completion of Emory Valley Center's internal training (e.g. CPR/FA, Medication Certification, etc.)
- Successful completion of background check from age 18 to present and Employment history from age 18 to present
- Caring and responsible personality required
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years
- Physical ability to assist individuals and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid TN Driver's License (Required) with a clean 3-year driving record
Responsibilities
- Support individuals with daily living tasks like cooking, dressing, and grooming while encouraging their self-sufficiency
- Foster community involvement and help individuals build lasting relationships
- Monitor physical and emotional well-being and communicate important updates to the care team through accurate documentation and real-time updates
- Administer medications following medical guidelines, including mealtime safety and maintaining a safe, clean environment
- Implement behavior support plans and encourage positive behaviors that help individuals thrive
- Maintain accurate documentation to ensure quality care continuity
- Guide individuals through challenges and promote independence through supportive problem-solving
- Provide companionship, engage in community activities
- Assist with daily living skills and care needs
- Transportation, medication administration, and activity documentation.

- Premium pay on weekends (1.5 x hourly rate)
- 12-hour shifts
- Work 3 days and have 4 days off a week!
