  • Annual registry, background, and motor vehicle record reviews are part of our commitment to safety.
  • Successful completion of Emory Valley Center's internal training (e.g. CPR/FA, Medication Certification, etc.)
  • Successful completion of background check from age 18 to present and Employment history from age 18 to present
  • Caring and responsible personality required
  • Minimum age requirement: 18 years
  • Physical ability to assist individuals and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid TN Driver's License (Required) with a clean 3-year driving record

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with daily living tasks like cooking, dressing, and grooming while encouraging their self-sufficiency
  • Foster community involvement and help individuals build lasting relationships
  • Monitor physical and emotional well-being and communicate important updates to the care team through accurate documentation and real-time updates
  • Administer medications following medical guidelines, including mealtime safety and maintaining a safe, clean environment
  • Implement behavior support plans and encourage positive behaviors that help individuals thrive
  • Maintain accurate documentation to ensure quality care continuity
  • Guide individuals through challenges and promote independence through supportive problem-solving
  • Provide companionship, engage in community activities
  • Assist with daily living skills and care needs
  • Transportation, medication administration, and activity documentation.

  • Premium pay on weekends (1.5 x hourly rate)
