About The Position

CGI is seeking a junior functional resource to support operations and maintenance of a government agency’s asset management system. This role is part of the functional team and will assist with end‑user support and training, help desk operations, annual asset inventory support, issue identification and troubleshooting, release management, process documentation, process re‑engineering, data conversion, and testing. The candidate should understand and demonstrate knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Knowledge of federal asset management best practices is preferred. Your future duties and responsibilities: The part‑time Sunflower Tier I Help Desk Manager is responsible for: Reviewing, submitting, and managing user access requests and role updates to the DHS Sunflower Tier II Help Desk within established timelines and policies Conducting at least biannual reviews and reconciliations of Sunflower user access documentation Reconciling removal, loss (federal and contractor), and internal transfer reports Managing the segregation‑of‑duties matrix and providing updates monthly to the Resources and Internal Control Branch Hosting quarterly calls with the Sunflower Tier II Help Desk to follow up on action items Submitting and tracking change requests with the DHS Sunflower Tier II Help Desk Serving as the point of contact for Risk Management and Internal Controls, OMB Circular A‑123, and other reviews of Sunflower Tier I processes Adhering to and updating the USCIS Sunflower Help Desk SOP as needed Managing Sunflower training schedules and rosters in coordination with LMS teams

Requirements

  • Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required as well as successful passing of CGI background check prior to beginning work. In addition, candidates must have ability to obtain and maintain a DHS/CISA EOD/Public Trust clearance.
  • Familiarity with federal financial processes, particularly asset management
  • Experience implementing or supporting a federal IT system (asset management preferred)
  • Experience training new or novice users on an IT system
  • Experience facilitating meetings, training sessions, and group presentations
  • Comfort presenting to clients
  • Strong writing skills, including the ability to develop agendas, minutes, and presentation materials
  • Experience developing and executing SOPs, QRGs, and step‑by‑step guides
  • Experience testing and documenting IT system functionality (asset management preferred)
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and present multiple solution options to clients
  • Ability to research unfamiliar topics using available resources
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong analytical thinking skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CGI’s Sunflower solution or another asset management system
  • Knowledge of SQL

Responsibilities
