About The Position

The Sumter County Resource Development Coordinator, reporting to the Director of Resource Development / Executive Director, is responsible for planning and securing the annual private giving goal for Sumter County. This role involves collaboration with the Sumter County Chapter Board, the Director of Resource Development, the Executive Director, the Resource Development Administrative Coordinator, and Coalition direct service providers for Sumter County.

Responsibilities

Assist in the development and implementation of the annual fundraising plan with dollar goals, objectives, and strategies for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting individual gifts, foundation grants, and corporate gifts in each of the assigned counties.
Assist Chapter Board members with an annual personal development plan.
Be knowledgeable of all donor history and ensure current database donor contacts and status maintained in the donor database in cooperation with the Resource Development Administrative Coordinator.
Identify prospective donors and secure current contact information.
Identify and develop opportunities to promote Coalition programs and success stories via social and traditional media.
Understand all administrative systems and procedures to appropriately track, record, report, acknowledge, and recognize all contributions and ensure the accuracy and timelines of all fundraising, prospect, donor, and fundraising volunteer communications.
Assist in providing presentations to community groups.
Plan and conduct a speaker’s bureau training for volunteers in cooperation with direct services staff.
Provide information on special events for the Coalition website and ensure information is current.
Participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings and staff in-service trainings.
Attend staff development training as indicated by the Executive Director.
Cooperate with staff to carry out the delegated responsibilities in the service of the goals and objectives of Pee Dee Coalition.
Hold in confidence all organization and donor-related information.
