About The Position

This role involves operating and maintaining various filling, bottle handling, and labeling equipment in a dairy production environment. Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing machinery, receiving raw materials and ingredients, pasteurizing and standardizing milk and drinks, and loading out bulk milk and cream. The position also requires accurate documentation of production data and adherence to environmental and housekeeping standards. Once trained, operators will be expected to meet specific output targets for various product sizes and packaging types.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of dairy GMP’s
  • Prior machine experience with high-speed packaging and labeling equipment
  • Ability to work independently adhering to Wawa safety and productivity standards
  • Prior experience in a food-processing environment with focus on quality
  • Ability to work all shifts within a 20-24 hour day
  • Ability to work up to a consecutive 7 day work week including weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Once trained expectations on specific filler lines could: Average at least a minimum output of 9,000 8oz plastic an hour during your shift.
  • Average at least a minimum output of 3,000 gallons an hour during your shift.
  • Average at least a minimum output of 6,500 half gallons an hour during your shift.
  • Average at least a minimum output of 10,000 pints an hour during your shift.
  • Average at least a minimum output of 50 dispensers an hour during your shift.
  • Average at least a minimum output of 13,000 8oz or 4oz cartons an hour during your shift.
  • Average at least a minimum output of 5,600 quarts an hour during your shift.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate various filling, bottle handling and labeling equipment.
  • Clean and sanitize machinery, tanks, lines and support equipment (CIP) when necessary.
  • Receive raw bulk products (O.J. concentrate, sugar, and milk), bulk cleaning chemicals, packaging materials, and other ingredients.
  • Pasteurize and standardize milk and drinks.
  • Load out bulk milk and cream.
  • Complete any required documentation including production numbers, weights, downtime, chemical concentrations, etc.
  • Perform environmental and other housekeeping cleaning as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
