About The Position

Busybee Teachers is seeking dependable and experienced credentialed substitute teachers to support Head Start classrooms this Summer across Hillsborough County (Tampa, FL). These roles will support early childhood classrooms serving children ages 0-5 and may include increased classroom leadership responsibilities. We offer flexible assignments based on your availability, suitable for those seeking occasional work or consistent classroom coverage.

Requirements

• Associate Degree or higher
• 40-Hour DCF Introductory Child Care Certification
• CDA or FCCPC Credential
• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Fire Extinguisher Certification
• Eligible for Level II background screening
• Professional, reliable, and comfortable working with children ages 0–5

Responsibilities

• Step into classrooms when regular staff is unavailable
• Lead classroom instruction using provided lesson plans
• Maintain a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment
• Support children's social, emotional, and developmental needs
• Collaborate with classroom staff and center leadership as needed
