About The Position

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry within the College of Arts and Sciences seeks a Student Research Assistant to join our team. Requirements

• High school degree and pursuing a degree in biology, chemistry or biochemistry
• Requires previous experience and knowledge or skill in student assistant role.

Responsibilities

• Cell expression of acetylcholinesterase in different cell types, from human to bacterial cells.
• Involved in the cell expression of acetylcholinesterase and biochemical evaluation of novel drug-like therapeutics for cell-toxicity assays.
• Responsibilities will be moderate and less routine and will require responsibility and good judgement.
• May coordinate activities for other student employees.
• Requires providing excellent customer service, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a professional environment.
• Represent the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity applying OSU mission and shared values.
