About The Position
Mercer University School of Medicine is seeking 2 undergraduate student research assistants (1 Mercer U, 1 Fort Valley State) to participate in a summer research project focused on farmer mental health education and evaluation in agricultural communities. Students will work directly with Dr. Anne Montgomery at Mercer University School of Medicine as part of a USDA Southern SARE-funded project. Must be a current Mercer University student in good standing.
Requirements
- Must be a current Mercer University student in good standing.
- Open to students interested in public health, rural health, psychology, agriculture, evaluation, or social science research
Responsibilities
- Attending farmer mental health training sessions
- Conducting field observations
- Assisting with interviews and qualitative research
- Survey development and Qualtrics programming
- Cognitive interview support
- Creating a final research poster
