Job SummaryLocation: Detroit, MI This role is designed to provide undergraduate college students with unique opportunities to develop their individual talents and to experience a large corporate environment. The Information Technology Intern will support day-to-day IT operations by assisting with daily checks of historian systems to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and availability. This role also involves working with vendors to research and prepare quotes for hardware and software solutions, helping the team make informed purchasing decisions. The intern is expected to demonstrate strong critical thinking abilities, quickly learn new technologies and processes, and adapt to a fast-paced technical environment while providing reliable support to the IT team

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled at an accredited 4-year university or college, or a high school graduate who is enrolled to attend college in the fall.
  • Possesses good organizational skills, demonstrate the ability to work effectively with people at all levels and be safety conscious at all times
  • Ability to establish goals, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to establish and maintain confidential and effective working relationships with supervisor, coworkers, management, and external customers
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality

Nice To Haves

  • Possesses a basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information
